All of the shooting fields and meadows are exceedingly well populated with hard-flying pheasants, so the amount of shooting you wish to do will be entirely up to you. We have fully trained, pointing Labrador Retrievers which can be provided along with our handler, or you are free to bring your own dogs.
Should you require shotguns, we provide over and under Beretta Silver Pigeon 20 gauge shotguns, as well as all necessary safety equipment such as high visibility vests, safety glasses and ear protection.
A trap range is also available on the property to warm-up and sharpen your skills.
All of our shoots begin at our spectacular Clubhouse, which is located directly beside the trap range, and provides the perfect setting to start the day. After getting your “eye in” at the range, you are encouraged to grab that last cup of coffee, and take a cookie for the road, before heading out for the shoot.
Those guests shooting for the full day will enjoy a terrific riverside lunch spread of fresh breads and soups, fruits, vegetables, meats cheeses and some sort of baking. Once everyone feels their strength return, the afternoon portion of the shoot begins.
At the end of the day, we find ourselves back where we started, at the Clubhouse. This time, an ice-cold beer tends to be the drink of choice, and reminiscing and jokes about the hunt just passed, begin. A fantastic way to spend the day, and an even better way to set the tone for the evening still to come!
